A Deeper Understanding
Good psychotherapy is not something a therapist does to a patient. It develops through a relationship in which both people are actively engaged, while the patient's experience increasingly becomes the focus of attention.

Understanding Stuckness
Exploring the deep-seated patterns that keep us in a state of psychological repetition, often without our conscious awareness.
Core Principles
A foundation for understanding what shapes your experience and what may allow things to change

Paying Attention
Centering the therapeutic process on your unique experience, allowing the therapist to listen and respond with deep empathy.

Looking Back
Examining the past to understand the present, uncovering the roots of current difficulties and the potential for growth.
Supportive, Collaborative—and Sometimes Direct
I try to create a therapeutic relationship that is supportive and collaborative, while also being willing to be direct when I believe it may be helpful. At times I may be quite active in our work together; at other times, I may allow more space and stillness so that we can pay attention to what is emerging.
